Telehealth allows you to consult with your medical provider remotely using secure video or phone calls, giving you convenient access to clinical care from anywhere in Alabama.
Pierce Private Practice is owned and managed by Jessica Roberts Pierce, NP-C, a licensed Nurse Practitioner. You may also work with my clinical assistant, Amber, who can support your care coordination before or after your appointment.
We currently offer care to patients who are physically located in Alabama at the time of their appointment. This ensures we meet state licensure requirements and provide safe, compliant care.
Yes — when medically appropriate, medications are prescribed by your provider and fulfilled by licensed U.S. pharmacies that ship directly to you. Pierce Private Practice does not manufacture, dispense, or ship medications directly.
Pierce Private Practice accepts TRICARE and select Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO plans. BCBS PPO plans must include a suitcase icon on the insurance card (non-Alabama PPO plans). Please note that we do not accept BCBS plans beginning with “BEG.”
For all other services, we operate as a direct-pay practice, and HSA/FSA cards are welcome.
If your insurance plan isn’t accepted, we’re happy to provide a detailed receipt (superbill) upon request, which you may submit to your insurance carrier for possible reimbursement.
Pricing varies based on the type of service and level of care needed. Standard medical evaluation visits (such as acute or urgent care) are billed per visit, while specialty services — including medically guided weight management and hormone optimization care — begin with a consultation and may involve ongoing care.
Fees are reviewed with you during the scheduling or consultation process so you have a clear understanding of costs before moving forward. We are committed to transparency and never charge surprise fees.
You’ll have secure messaging access for questions, care coordination, or updates between scheduled visits. Depending on the nature of your message, you may hear directly from Jessica or her clinical assistant, Amber, who helps support communication and coordination of care. We’re here to make sure you feel supported every step of the way.
No special hardware is required. You just need:
No. Payments cover medical services, clinical time, and provider management that begin once care is initiated. As a result, all payments are non-refundable once processed.
Absolutely. All telehealth appointments use HIPAA-compliant, encrypted technology to protect your privacy, personal health information, and all communication with your provider.
Most care is provided through telehealth for convenience and accessibility. Limited in-person evaluations are available when clinically appropriate or required to support comprehensive care — for example, when a physical exam or on-site testing is necessary.
